Re: Venice

Definately. I was out there a month ago and there were flyers up leading you to sports bars. They had the West Ham game on when I was out there''

Was it a good trip apart from that?

Maybe so Woodstar, but if there's a game worth taking time out of your holiday for, it ain't a Sam Allardyce side away to QPR.

I don't have any kids yet, G. We have our 2 weeker at the back end of the year. Let's hope the weather holds up in Clacton...

I did what the Teletext mob on here do every week, Woodster, and just checked the result.

Think I made the right call? Unless it was a stormer of a 0-0?

I didn't know they have caravans in Jaywick. But thanks for the recommendation, I'll have a look for next year.

I didn't realise they can rig up the Internet to stream matches in caravans in Jaywick?

Re: Venice
Fuck watching the current side when you're on holiday. I've just got back, had the chance to watch us against QPR, fucked it off, didn't look at this site once, and felt a lot fucking better for it.

West Ham are fucking depressing at the minute, enjoy your holiday.

Don't bother buying the boat equivalent to Oyster card. You can walk all around venice in less than a day. Don't eat out near marks square its a rip off, walk back towards the main bridge to island, cannergio area, much more laid back, better food and more reasonable. There is a small bar behind the hotel Tintoretto, loads of decent beers on tap.. Chimey blue :) only place I can remember having footy on was the Irish pub in the same area. Shopping? Hope you got deep pockets, great clothes. Can't wait to go back again tbh, we went in November. Loads of chinks and japs get under your feet around marks square and nearby narrow streets. Other than that, definitely recommend it for a short break.

By the way. Have a grea time. It's an absolute superb place.

Re: Venice
I must agree with the majority. Hence, I never bothered to watch our game whilst out there. Then again, I was just with the Mrs and it would've been a bit unfair on her seeing as she treated me to the trip for my birthday.

If I was with a pal and his Mrs though I may invent a reason to slip off and watch it.

I was there last year and found an Irish bar to watch the football. It's difficult to miss on your way into the mixer. Small gaff but has a few TV's
